For the 10th time, Downtown Magnets will be holding it's Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk and Carnival to raise money for students. After the run, we will have food, games, and an amazing gift basket raffle. This annual Event is our only fundraiser for our students going on to college, and all profits go straight to the scholarship fund. DMHS is a high achieving magnet school, but the vast majority of our students are from low income first generation families, and these scholarships can make the difference between going to school or going to work. Last year we were able to give away $13,000 in funds directly to students. We hope this year to get to $15,000.
