Please consider donating an item or experience to our Silent Auction for the Womanspace 26th Annual Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award Dinner, which will be held on May 12, 2022 Via Zoom. Your support would allow Womanspace to raise money to provide the critical services needed by survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s event honors Elizabeth Smart, Child Abduction Prevention Advocate, and Victim of Childhood Abduction. Through her traumatic experience, Elizabeth has become an advocate for change related to child abduction, recovery programs, and National Legislation. The Founder of the “Elizabeth Smart Foundation”, Elizabeth has also helped promote The National AMBER Alert, The Adam Walsh Child Protection & Safety Act and other safety legislation to help prevent abductions. Elizabeth has chronicled her experiences in the New York Times best-selling book, "My Story." In addition, she and other abduction survivors worked with the Department of Justice to create a survivor’s guide, entitled, “You're Not Alone: The Journey from Abduction to Empowerment.” This guide is meant to encourage children who have gone through similar experiences not to give up but to know that there is hope for a rewarding life.

The financial support provided by our silent auction helps Womanspace to continue its role as the lead agency in Mercer County for those impacted by domestic abuse, human trafficking and sexual assault. Womanspace also provides critical therapeutic counseling for the children affected by the trauma of family violence and operates the NJ Statewide domestic violence hotline. Last year alone, Womanspace provided services to 12,190 adults and children.

Silent Auction contributors will be prominently featured in the event program posted on the Womanspace website, during the virtual presentation, and highlighted on our social media pages.
