Celebration of the Arts in Howard County, now in its 26th year, showcases the visual and performing arts thriving in Howard County. The Celebration is one of the County’s signature arts events and includes the Rising Star Performing Arts Competition where local talent vies for a $5,000 cash award selected by our live audience, presentation of the Howie Awards which recognize those who create, teach, and support the arts in Howard County, and an Art Auction featuring artwork for sale by local and regional visual artists. The event kicks off with a 2-hour Reception showcasing culinary arts from 15-20 area restaurants and caterers. As HCAC’s primary annual fundraiser, over the years, the event has raised more than $1.7 million for the arts in our communities. Donations will be included in one of our 3 raffle baskets. Raffle tickets are sold ahead of the event as well as at the event. Raffle winners will be drawn live on stage on November 4.
