Good afternoon,

My name is Lacie Carl, and I am the President of the local chapter of a non-profit organization called Northern Nevada Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.). I am also the surviving daughter of Deputy Franklin J. Minnie, Sr., from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office, who was killed in the line of duty June 1st, 1997, when I was just 15 years old.

All of us at Northern NV C.O.P.S. are hard at work in the planning process for our annual black tie fundraising event coming up April 22nd, 2023. At this event, called “An Evening in Blue”, a large portion of our funds are raised through event sponsors, as well as a silent auction and raffle. I am writing to you in hopes that you might be interested in sponsoring our event or donating an item, such as a gift certificate, gift basket, etc. to our raffle and silent auction. All proceeds raised go directly to support the families, children and co-workers of law enforcement officers who are killed in the line of duty in our local area. This year, Northern NV is supporting 3 current families who lost their officer in the line of duty in 2022. We are sending them in May to National Police Week in Washington D.C. to honor their fallen officer. But, we need your help to do so.
