Description

I Hope this email finds you well. My name is Damian Perez, and I am reaching out on behalf of Big Brother Big Sisters as we are hosting our 28th annual Big Taste of Martin County on October 8th at Atlantic Aviation. This signature fundraising event educates the community of the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission to empower youth to graduate with a plan for their future and a mentor for their lifetime. The agency is celebrating its 37th year anniversary of serving the community.

The Big Taste brings together 700+ attendees, and over 30 local restaurants, wineries, spirits, and breweries to sample their best cuisines and beverages. As well as local businesses to support our community. The event is highly anticipated, event attendees vote for their favorite samplings and support the auction and raffle. In 2023, our auction and raffle raised close to $15,000.

As we strive to make this year's event even more impactful, we are seeking donations for our auction and raffle segments, would you consider donating an auction/raffle item? These donations will not only showcase your support for our cause but also promote your business among our attendees

  • Thanks to last year’s taste, 393 youth were connected to a caring mentor.
  • Funds also helped guide an additional 294 Big/Little mentoring pairs so their mentoring relationships will endure.
  • Of the youth in School to Work, 92% took steps toward their future after high school (including being accepted into college, applied for scholarships, and/or started working).
  • In the cornerstone Community program, 80% of children maintained or improved their social-emotional learning (making smarter choices regarding substance abuse and other risky behaviors).

Thank you for your time and consideration. We appreciate any support you can provide. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to me at any time.
