Every May, in honor of National Foster Care Month, The New York Foundling’s Junior Board hosts its signature spring event, The Blue Party, that brings together a dynamic group of 300 young professionals and their network of influencers in support of children and teens in the foster care system. With over 400,000 children and teens in foster care in the US and over 8,000 in NYC alone, this event is an important way to recognize that we each can play a role in enhancing their lives. 

The Blue Party offers guests the chance to meet the staff who support the children and families in our programs, and enjoy an incredible evening filled with craft cocktails, a sampling of NYC’s finest foods, music, auction and raffle items, and more!

Your participation directly impacts the lives of children and teens in New York City’s foster care system – a resilient population that often faces difficult challenges, from homelessness, lower high school and college graduation rates, involvement in the juvenile justice system, and difficulty securing stable employment. The New York Foundling reaches over 30,000 children, adults, and families each year and proceeds from The Blue Party support our holistic suite of foster care programs - those that prevent child abuse and neglect, educational services and tutoring, an overnight specialized summer camp, and other ground-breaking initiatives.
