Description

2021 marks the 20th anniversary of BSNCF!  If you’ve been touched by our outreach through the years, we invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone by becoming a partner for the 2nd annual BSNCF Virtual Run-Walk.    As we can not meet in person to FUNraise this will serve as our largest fundraiser of the year.    We are looking for swag bag items, silent auction items and raffle items to ensure success.   Participants and cancer patients throughout the U.S. will join us for this event Memorial Day weekend to run, walk, and support one another.    By participating, you will be uniting by walking or running with cancer thrivers, friends, and their families throughout the United States at the pace and distance of your choice while helping us raise funds to send “Smile Kits” to female cancer patients.

For 20 years, BSNCF provides Smile Kits to female cancer patients throughout the U.S. many of which have been isolated and depressed due to COVID-19.  BSNCF has positively impacted the emotional, physical and financial health of cancer patients through the years with projects including:

  • Gifting 1,800+ “Smile Kits to patients in every state in the U.S.
  • Easing medical and insurance burden by creating a Patient Navigator system at The Lapidus Cancer Institute.
  • Establishing “The Wish Fund” to grant patients one last VIP wish.
  • Revitalized a waiting room in memory of Mary Barnett at Greater Baltimore Medical Center where she was treated.
  • Delivering a caregiver workshop, “Walking on Eggshells”
  • Providing financial support to Stella Maris Hospice to comfort end-of-life patients.
  • Partnering with Lee’s Friends to provide genealogical support easing the financial burden for cancer patients in need.
  • Establishing Team BSNCF to spread awareness of the Foundation through sport.
  • Launching “Students for Smiles,” a volunteer program creating handmade cards and more.
  • Gifting to research: Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Anderson Cancer Center Research.

Thank you for considering offering a donation to assist our mission.
