The Center in Yankton, SD is hosting its 14th annual fundraising dining and auction event July 21, 2023. We are excited to host a fresh variation to our previous Wine and Dine with a "That 70's Gala" event. The funds raised via sponsorships and donations help low-income seniors participating in our Meals on Wheels program, as well as provide for our events, activities and free services that our organization offers to our community.    
  
As a non-profit organization that has been helping our community for over fifty years, fundraisers are imperative to our success. We are also pleased with the work we have done over the last ten years. We served nearly 400,000 nutritious home cooked meals in our facility. Our Meals on Wheels volunteers delivered 176,733 meals to homebound seniors.  We donated over 45,000 meals and distributed nearly 20,000 boxes of food, valued at $764,850, to low-income seniors. Our SHIINE Medicare Part D Assistance Program saved seniors over two million dollars in healthcare expenses. As you can see, our programs serve the needs of many people.    
  
We are offering you the opportunity to provide your support to adults of all ages who benefit from the nutrition, socialization and recreation we provide at The Center. Your contribution will be recognized in our monthly newsletter, and showcased with great appreciation via media outlets, event programs and our website. Last year the event raised $26,602 and our goal is to raise $30,000 at this year’s event, but we need your help to achieve that.
