Description
Every year, Cornerstone Services hosts The Champagne Luncheon on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. It is held at the Renaissance Center, Joliet Illinois, 12 - 2 pm. It is a zany fundraiser that generate much needed resources so essential to our progrmas for people with disabilities. Over 300 people usually attend. The community leaders are the "Star Waiter" who pour the champagne, get on stage to sing, dance, or whatever the participants ask. The waiters perform for tips which is given to Cornerstone Services. Participants also buy raffle tickets to win one of the many prizes donated by local businesses and/or restaurants. Sports tickets and other extravagant items are sold during live and silent auctions.
