Did you know more than 113,000 children are waiting right now to be adopted from foster care in the United States? These children were placed in foster care through no fault of their own, having suffered abuse, neglect, and often countless layers of trauma in their young lives.

Today, I am writing to ask you to consider how you can play a critical part in helping to find forever homes for children and youth lingering in foster care.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is a national, non-profit public charity established in 1992 by Wendy’s® founder Dave Thomas, who was adopted. Through its signature programs, like Wendy’s Wonderful Kids®, the Foundation is dedicated to finding permanent homes for the most vulnerable youth in foster care, including teenagers, children with special needs and siblings who have been waiting in foster care the longest.

You can help.

Would you consider donating an in-kind gift to the Foundation’s silent auction at The Dave golf tournament taking place in April? This elite event has more than 300 guests from across the country come together to help support the Foundation’s mission. Not only will your gift help youth who are lingering in foster care, but we will also ensure your organization’s name will be featured when auctioning your thoughtfully donated item.
