My name is Stephanie Powers, and I am the Development Director for the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joseph County. Our organization has served neighbors in St. Joseph County for more than 117 years.

In the past year, we served 46,240 people in our community by providing food, clothing & household goods vouchers, rent and utility assistance, and beds (for children). With the cost of rent, groceries, and fuel increasing, our services are even more critical to those who were already struggling to make ends meet. So far this year, we’ve seen a 51% increase in households served compared to last year.

To assist us in meeting this increased need in services, the Society is hosting a fundraiser called The Founder’s Gala on Wednesday, October 19th. The event will feature guest speaker Bishop Kevin Rhoades as well as a silent auction. All proceeds will benefit our organization.
