The Gathering Marching Band Competition is a GMEA-sanctioned early season contest for silver division bands (A-AAA). We are open to both corps style and traditional style groups and a festival option for comments only. The goal of our competition is to get students, families and out community excited about the amazing work these High School students have put in. The tireless hours and volunteering as well as our main focus, the love of ALL styles of music.

We are trying to continue our legacy of continually giving back to our community. We offer free concerts regularly as well as local parades and events. This competition is the way we try to raise funds to support our bestowal of many faucets to our community and neighboring communities.

Last year was our first year hosting and it was HUGE success, much better than we had hoped. This year we are looking to more than double our size in terms of the number of students performing as well as the local businesses we are having at the fair portion of our event. 

Any and all donations are an immense help as we can use them in our raffles throughout the day, as a thank you to our judges and volunteers or even as items during the event. Thank you so much. We hope that we can reach our goal so that we are also able to purchase new drums and sound equipment for our students as many of their items are being held together with duck tape and super glue. They never complain and are always the first to hit the field and work hard. We would love to give back to them and make it easier for them to share numerous styles of music to the community.
