Description

Despite significant improvements in survival rates for many blood cancers, every three minutes, someone is diagnosed with this disease and every nine minutes, someone loses their battle to it. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. You can make our mission possible by supporting one of our signature events: The Leukemia Ball.

Presented by KPMG, the 37th Annual Leukemia Ball will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at The Walter E. Washington Convention Center. As one of DC’s largest non-political black-tie fundraisers, the Leukemia Ball has raised over $72 million for the Mid-Atlantic Region of LLS. This one-of-a-kind event features dinner, dancing, Mission Moment, star-studded entertainment, and a fabulous silent auction. Each year, we are fortunate to have generous businesses and individuals donate items to be featured in our auction, allowing all proceeds to go directly to LLS’s mission.

To accomplish our goal of $2.5 million for patients and their families, we are asking you to join the fight against blood cancer by donating an item or experience to our Leukemia Ball Silent Auction.

In addition to raising lifesaving funds, your donation provides a unique marketing opportunity for you and your company/organization. Through our Mobile Bidding Website (GiveSmart), your donation and company name will be on display to more than 2,000 of the DMV’s corporate and community leaders.

All donations are tax deductible. Your gift truly makes a difference- LLS could not sustain and accelerate our quest for a cure without your support.
