Can you help with our Merry MACidays holiday show?
The MAC was founded in 2017 as a non-profit organization with the sole purpose of bringing Art To All.  In that short time, we have served more than 30,000 students, offered over 250 classes each year in dozens of art mediums for all ages, held free after-school programs, engaged with hundreds of volunteers, and participated in numerous community events throughout the year.  In addition to classes and events, we recently purchased a small school bus to expand our Art Outreach to underserved communities and to local events. 

While many of our students are able to pay for their classes, approximately 60% of them participate in free activities at after-school classes, community celebrations, and annual MAC-supported events. We also have a scholarship program that makes it possible for ALL children, no matter their circumstances, to take regularly scheduled classes with us.  Also, with the help of incredibly generous donations and grants from outside our organization, we have been able to grow The MAC’s reach, we expanded our ArtBus exposure to bring creative outlets elsewhere, and have started a program called Fostering Friends to provide children entering the foster system their own art supplies.  

This is just the beginning; we have big dreams!  Our goal is to increase each of these three areas exponentially to continue to reduce barriers to art access.  That’s where you come in…

Every year, The MAC holds our Merry MACidays Holiday Art Market and Silent Auction in December.  This event provides us with much-needed income for our annual operating budget.  While the Art Market does raise money for our organization by taking a small percentage of sales, the vast majority comes from the Silent Auction portion, which comes solely from donations.  This year, we are planning to make this our biggest event yet!  We will be hosting over 35 local artists and artisans for five days and are looking to double our Silent Auction offerings to include over 40 donated items, vouchers, tickets, etc.
