Description

On Sunday, February 25, 2024, the Midland Foundation will hold a Basket Bash (tricky tray) fundraiser at The Midland School in North Branch, N.J. from 12 to 4 p.m. The event benefits the students and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) at The Midland School and in the Midland Adult Services (MAS) program.

We would ask that you consider supporting Midland by donating a gift certificate and/or merchandise basket to be raffled at our event.  It’s a great way to promote your company or business to the hundreds of local attendees we expect at this fundraiser.

Midland's mission is to promote personal achievement and foster independence for children and adults with I/DD by providing a range of innovative programs. Founded in 1960, The Midland School offers a comprehensive special education program for children with I/DD, ages 3 through 21.  The Midland School serves their individual social, emotional, academic and career education needs.

An important part of the Midland experience is its emphasis on preparing students to live as independently and productively as possible while at Midland and after graduation. This is done on many levels - socially, behaviorally, and through our career education and job sampling program at local businesses. For graduates who need additional training an adult employment program is available at our campus-based Work Center through MAS.  MAS Employment provides job training, employment and placement services for adults with I/DD.  MAS also runs Midland Explores, a recreationally based day program in Branchburg for adults with I/DD.  The MAS program also offers housing in group homes and supervised apartments for individuals with I/DD.
