Dear Merchant,

My name is Olivia Borges, President of Valley of the Falls Community Center, Inc. (VFCCi), and I am writing on behalf of
VFCCI, a non-profit 501c3 organization. This July 2nd, VFCCi will host its annual "Mountain Jamboree" fundraiser in the
community of Forest Falls. Games, drawings, live music, local artisans, and great food are all part of this "Mountain
Themed event. VFCCi is a non-profit organization that owns and operates the community center, Big Falls Lodge, for the
benefit ofnon-profit groups, residents, and others inquiring about hosting an event.
The Community Center was revived from a very dilapidated state in 2007 and provides a beautiful multi-purpose space
for many uses. Because we al have pride ni our forest community, fundraisers like the Jamboree provide funds to
maintain the lodge and host community events. Our most important resource, however, is the generous donations from
our residents, vendors, and local businesses.
VFCCi serves several small unincorporated mountain communities (Forest Falls, Angelus Oaks, and Mountain Home
Village/Mentone), as well as other surrounding cities. As a mountain community center we offer several uses at little or
no charge to many local entities such as Fallsvale Booster Club, (this is a small school serving K-8th students), courses
regarding fire prevention, search and rescue, bear (wildlife) facts, C.E.R.T., and other environmental issues, Boy scouts,
Arts and Crafts for children and adults, Karate/Yoga classes, Farmer's Market, Music night forlocal musicians, as well as
our annual tundraising events.
We are asking for the donation of merchandise, services, gift certificates, or monetary donations. These items will raise
money through auctions or drawings. Your donation will be honored at the Mountain Jamboree on July 2, 2023. This
popular event can provide you with additional exposure to the communityand friends whoattend this event.
As a mountain town, we are subject to many and varied weather changes. From wildfire to flood and mudslides to snow
and cold, these all create possible situations where Big Falls Lodge serves the community and emergency crews. Your
donations help support on-going building improvements and replacement of supplies. VFCCi offers emergency services a
location to meet and set-up for many issues for our mountain communities, and we need your help to continue to
operate this non-profit community-based organization.
Please contact me at 626-506-7484 or Director@vfcci.org if you can support our efforts to make a difference in the
community. Thank you so much for your kind consideration ofo u r request, and weh o p e to hear from you soon. We will
gladly come pick up your donation or you can also mail in your donation to the Post Office Box listed below. Al
donations should be received no later than June 30th toraise funds at our Mountain Jamboree event.
Sincerely,
Oliva Borges
