Description

The Potomac School’s mission is to prepare students for lives of purpose, achievement, and generosity of spirit. Our community is committed to ensuring that qualified and deserving students have the opportunity to benefit from a Potomac education, even when financial constraints might seem to put that goal out of reach. Potomac’s annual Scholarship Auction helps to fund that commitment. This year’s event – our 46th annual auction, with the theme Casino Royale – will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023. We invite you to support Potomac’s mission of educational excellence; with our local business partners by our side, we know that this mission IS possible!

Scholarships
Scholarships help ensure that the cost of tuition will not be the deciding factor in whether a promising young person can enroll at Potomac. This year, 21% of our school’s students are benefiting from scholarships. This is due to the generosity of Potomac families and members of the wider community who support our annual auction. Scholarships have a tremendous impact and make a lasting difference. One grateful parent recently noted, “Without her scholarship, my daughter would never have been able to experience all that this wonderful school has to offer.”

Professional Development
In addition to providing student scholarships, the auction supports professional development for Potomac’s dedicated faculty. Our inspiring teachers benefit from opportunities to develop their passions, expand their knowledge, and explore creative and innovative teaching strategies. A current Potomac faculty member expresses the value of professional development this way: “Nothing beats the experience of bringing best practices into my classroom!”

Each donor will be recognized on Potomac’s auction web page and in our printed auction catalog. We value the support of our business partners and actively encourage the members of our community to support them. We believe that your partnership with our school will prove beneficial to your business by providing exposure to more than 1,000 Potomac families, alumni, and friends.
