Description

The Potomac School’s mission is to prepare students for lives of purpose, achievement, and generosity of spirit. Our community is committed to ensuring that qualified and deserving students can have the opportunity to benefit from a Potomac education, even when financial constraints might seem to put that goal out of reach. Potomac’s annual Scholarship Auction helps to fund that commitment. This year’s event – our 48th Annual Auction, with the theme Out of this World! – will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025. We invite you to partner with us to support our mission of educational excellence!

Scholarships
Scholarships help ensure that the cost of tuition will not be the deciding factor in whether a promising young person can enroll at Potomac. This year, 21% of our school’s students are benefiting from scholarships totaling $7 million. This is due to the generosity of Potomac families and members of the wider community who support our Annual Scholarship Auction. Scholarships have a tremendous impact and make a lasting difference.

Professional Development
In addition to scholarships, the Auction supports professional development for Potomac’s dedicated faculty. Our inspiring teachers benefit from opportunities to develop their passions, expand their knowledge, and explore creative and innovative teaching strategies.
