Justice for Lily is a non-profit organization based in Lapeer, Michigan that helps abused and neglected children. Our organization was created after Lily Furneaux was abused and murdered by her stepmother at only 2 and a half years old. Lily’s biological mother, Lauren Furneaux, formed Justice for Lily with the mission to help other children like Lily through events, charity, and child abuse awareness education provided through Justice for Lily. 

Every year we hold a gala style event, The Justice for Lily Princess Ball, as our largest fundraiser. April 13, 2024, will mark our 12th annual event. This year we honor Lily’s 16th birthday and we are striving to make this our largest Princess Ball yet. Our event will consist of a night of dinner, drinks, dancing, and a silent auction. 

We are currently looking for donations for this year’s silent auction. In past years, we have had a variety of gracious donors, both local and out-of-state. With the out-of-state donations, we offer destination or vacation silent auction packages with passes and gift cards to popular attractions, and travel and lodging assistance. We are hoping to offer new destination/vacation packages in this year's silent auction. Destinations like The Island in Pigeon Forge or Navy Pier in Chicago would be enticing to the donors that will attend the Princess Ball.

Proceeds from The Justice for Lily Princess Ball go back into Lapeer and communities in our surrounding counties/cities such as Genesee/Flint, Wayne/Detroit, and Macomb counties. We hold events that educate the community on the signs of abuse and what to do if they suspect a child is being abused. We also help children in the foster care system by providing necessary items that foster parents might not be able to afford on their own. Christmas was Lily’s favorite holiday and to honor her memory, at Christmas we fulfill wish-lists for foster children in our communities to ensure that these children get to feel the magic of Christmas that Lily so loved.
