Description

The Raptor Trust Community Day is our most publicized and popular benefit of the year. We are excited to invite our friends and supporters to a day of fun, including:

  • Ambassador birds (owls, hawks, falcons!)
  • Tricky tray
  • 50/50 raffle
  • Online auction
  • Food & drink
  • Face painting
  • Family activities
  • and more!

Educational programming is a cornerstone of Community Day, and a critical piece of The Raptor Trust mission. All visitors to Community Day will have the opportunity to learn more about raptors, including the endangered species we treat, and why they are so important to the environment in which we live. Your support is important not only to help raise funds to care for these patients, but also to strengthen the partnership between TRT and our community’s businesses and people in solidarity for wildlife.

Donors will be recognized in a variety of places, including our website, Facebook, Instagram, e-newsletter, auction website, and at the event. If donations are selected to be auction items, donors will also be recognized on the auction website.

TRT's community includes people of all ages who care about wildlife and the environment. Generations of people have visited, volunteered, or attended school and scout programs, and these longtime relationships have had a lasting effect on our state’s native birds and the local ecology. We take in all native, wild birds in need of care— raptors and non-raptors alike—and offer our services to the public completely free of charge. This empowers our community to help, rather than remain helpless bystanders.
