Description

We request your support for our gala event benefitting The Seany Foundation, a San Diego nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing relief and happiness to children bravely fighting cancer. Scheduled for Friday, April 21, 2017 at our clubhouse in Point Loma, the nautical themed event will highlight the importance of family during difficult times and will feature dinner, music and a live auction. With your help, it promises to be a night to remember.

The Thursday Club was founded in 1921 to promote social, educational, cultural, and civic activities throughout San Diego County. Each year, the Thursday Club Junior Membership supports their heritage of philanthropy by planning a gala event. Since the founding, our Thursday Club groups have raised over 2 million dollars to support local charities. Past beneficiaries include Shelter to Soldier, Special Delivery San Diego, San Diego Food Bank, Boys to Men Mentoring Network, and San Diego Adaptive Sports. Funds raised by Thursday Club Juniors have transformed many local charities, enabling them to better serve our community.

This year, we are proud to support The Seany Foundation. The Seany Foundation’s mission is to fund meaningful projects that enhance the lives of children, teens, and young adults affected by cancer. This is done mainly through the flagship program, Seany’s Camp Reach for the Sky. Camp Reach for the Sky is a nationally recognized effort that provides support to a unique population of at-risk youth: children with cancer, those in remission, children with parents going through cancer and their families. It is the only program of its kind in San Diego County, and thousands of local children, families and volunteers rely on it for long-term support.

We invite you to help us support this deserving organization. Here are the ways you can participate:

  • Donate an item or service to our online and/or live auction. Our online auction alone will reach a multitude of viewers through the Greater Giving
  • Financially sponsor our event. Examples of financial support include cash donations, table sponsorships and in-kind donations (such as food, beverages, printing, equipment and staffing volunteers).

Your donation is greatly appreciated. In recognition of your generosity, we will promote your business at our event and beyond through event collateral, our electronic newsletters, and on our organization’s website as described more fully in the enclosed sponsorship agreement. Since all donations are processed through The Thursday Club Foundation, our 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, your donation will be tax deductible to the full extent of all applicable regulations.

Please join our community of supporting partners. Thursday Club Juniors and The Seany Foundation thank you for your contribution.
