This year’s biggest fundraiser “The Whiskers of Oz” auction is Saturday, November 23,
2024, at the Albany Marriott on 189 Wolf Road, Albany, NY 12205. Please help us
continue making a difference in the lives of the most deprived felines in the Capital
Region with a donation basket or monetary donation.

Since 1982, Whiskers has been rescuing cats in New York’s Capital Region, living by the
motto, “making a difference... one life at a time." While understanding not every
homeless or abused cat can be saved, the lives of those cats who become a part of the
Whiskers' family are changed forever.

Whiskers accepts cats that other rescue groups cannot. Older cats, disabled cats, feral
cats, cats with chronic medical problems, are our specialty. Whether it is a 14-year-old
cat returned to us after her owner passed away or five tiny kittens discarded like trash in
a dumpster, Whiskers gives those cats the medical services needed to provide a haven
until a loving home can be found. If a cat does not find an adoptive home, it will live out
its life in the comfort of our free-roaming sanctuary.

Volunteers are the sole guardians of shelter and foster cats in Whiskers’ care. Whiskers
relies on donations from friends like you to provide life-saving needs such as food,
medical bills and supplies. Donations from the community determine if a cat will flourish
or, heartbreakingly, perish.

Whiskers is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation. Your product, service, gift certificate, gift
basket, or monetary sponsorship to Whiskers is fully tax deductible to the extent allowed
by law. As a contributor, your company name will be listed in the auction program and
on the item(s) display card.
