Dear Friend of Newcastle Elementary School,

Every two years, the Newcastle Elementary PTSA holds a fundraising auction to raise money to support our students –money that is necessary in today’s climate of state funding shortfalls made worse by the impact on budgeting and staffing issues because of COVID. This biennial event kicks off with a holiday online auction in December 2022 and culminates with a fabulous evening at the Hyatt Regency South Lake Washington on March 10, 2023, where we will have our silent and live auction, games and more. More than 400 parents, staff and community friends attend this memorable event and it is because of everyone’s participation that we’re able to help bridge the fundraising gap by providing art education, reading and math support, as well as new technology and safety measures to more than 500 students each year. Due to the COVID pandemic, this will be our first live auction since the 2018-2019 school year, and we could not be more excited! In the last auction, we raised over $300,000 for our school, which is comprised of more than 400 families within the Issaquah School District, and we would like to increase our amount raised to $400,000 in 2023. This increased amount is crucial in ensuring that the Newcastle Elementary students, teachers, and administrators, continue to have access to the resources necessary to providing the best-in-class education. Reaching our goal depends on the generosity of the friends of Newcastle Elementary School: families, businesses, and community members.
