I am the VP of Fundraising for the Woodcreek Junior High PTA located in Katy, Texas.  Our Junior High serves one of the fastest growing communities in the U.S.  We represent over 1200 students and their families.  We are raising money to support our programs and a covering for our outside atrium to host student activities. We hosted over 25 programs and events last year for our students. The event will be a Silent Auction hosted online. The kick-off for the Auction will be held on 8/11 at our “Tiberwolf Trek.” It’s like an open house where students get their schedule and can walk the halls to find their classed and meet their teachers.  Usually, half the students and their parent(s) attend the Trek. Once we kick off at the Trek where we will have item displays with QR codes.  The auction will online for one week after our kick-off.   Some of the programs we hosted and funded this year include the following:

Themed hospitality events throughout the year for teachers and staff;
Provided funding toward the school’s merit incentive program for students by purchasing award items;
Fun Food Fridays where students get outside meals like Chick Fil A and pizza;
Providing hospitality events to our sister school, a less advantaged school
Donation of technology to our school
Provide funding for teachers to attend development events
Items for school (book shelves for the library, tools for teacher work room, etc.)
Provided holiday meals and needed items to our families in crisis
