Our Summer Reading Program encourages kids and parents to keep building and practicing literary skills throughout the summer with the help of incentives to make reading fun. Children log the days they read to earn a ticket for each day to put towards a "big" prize. Pre-readers and parents log the days they are read with. Teens log each book read for a chance at a prize.

Our goal is to keep the youth in our community continuing to grow and learn throughout the summer, while school is no longer in session, as it is important to keep their brains active and exercised. We also strive to show them the joy that reading can be as during the summer they have the freedom to read what they wish, not just what school is assigning them.

The purpose of the Library is to serve our community and those communities surrounding us with resources, both in hard copy and digital, such as books, magazines, databases and internet access, as well as programs that allow for learning and connection in our community. We also offer a safe space for all those within our community.
