This year the Historic Tivoli Theatre is celebrating 95 years of creating memories! The Historic Tivoli Theatre is a fully-restored single screen movie theatre dedicated to showing new release movies, free repertory movies, and great live events. Operated almost completely by volunteers, the theatre has ADA compliance seating for 286 patrons and a private balcony available for rental.

Owen County Preservations dba Tivoli Theatre is currently promoting its annual fundraising event to raise urgently needed funds for the non-profit Tivoli Theatre in Spencer, Indiana.  The city of Spencer, located in Owen County Indiana, is one hour southwest of Indianapolis and a few minutes west of Bloomington.

Our live fundraising event is scheduled for February 6, 2024 (Silent Auction begins January 22, 2024). This year we hope to raise $35,000.  With generous donations from our sponsors, we can remain committed to our mission of offering low ticket and concession prices, free movies to the community, free children’s movies during the summer, and affordable live entertainment. All donors are recognized through social media, on all event flyers and advertisements, and on the big screen before movie showings until the end of our fundraising campaign.

Our theatre continues to recover from the pandemic and has been additionally impacted by the prolonged writer and actor strikes.
