Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and the historic home of the founder of the city of San Clemente. Casa Romantica provides programs for all ages in arts, music, history, horticulture, and literature and is a premier Southern California cultural center. On September 18, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM, Casa Romantica will host its preeminent annual fundraiser. Toast to the Casa is a very special event that provides major support for all of our cultural and educational programs throughout the season. The gala also secures much-needed funds to preserve and maintain our beloved San Clemente landmark and botanical gardens. 

During the 2020-2021 season, Casa Romantica pivoted our cultural and educational programming so that the Southern California community could continue to benefit from our mission, even with COVID-19 gathering limitations. We produced 30+ virtual events, with livestream options available for many of our remaining 50 onsite events.

The funds raised at our annual gala, Toast to the Casa, are largely responsible for these enriching programs. Our 2021 theme, Toast to the Casa: Adventure Awaits invites guests to adventure around the world through the glamour and magic of mid-century air travel, visiting exotic world destinations featuring unique cuisine, exhibitions, and performances. Casa Romantica will transform into a travel hub including the Pan-Am Lounge, First-Class Courtyard Stage, Baggage Claim Cactus Garden, Rio de Janeiro Amphitheater, Mumbai Main Salon, and Hawaiian Ocean Terrace.
