Top City Promise is a local non-profit organization founded on hope and love for weary refugees. Our mission is to provide stability and self-sufficiency for refugees through local humanitarian efforts in Topeka and Shawnee County, Kansas.

We are excited to announce our annual fundraising Charity Masquerade Ball: "Uncovering Refugees’ Stories of Hope" on February 22, 2025, at the elegant Sunflower Ballroom, Maner Conference Center. This date holds special significance, as it brings our community together to reflect on the resilience and strength of refugees while raising vital funds to support their journey to stability and independence.

These past two years, we provided over 70 refugee families with furnished apartments and up to 3 months of rent, supported their job search efforts, contributed countless volunteer hours for transportation, and delivered Christmas baskets. Additionally, we have hosted numerous events, including baby showers, to welcome refugees with compassion and dignity.

Every penny raised from the gala will go directly towards supporting under-resourced refugee families as they work towards independence and becoming confident contributors to our community. Funds raised will be used to:

Fund rent and utilities for refugee families for up to 3 months
Arrange safe travel to bring refugees from hazardous areas to Topeka
Purchase essential items such as clothing, food, and bedding
Cover medical and healthcare necessities
