What is Tossed & Found?

Tossed & Found is the Junior League of Washington’s (JLW's) annual three-day rummage sale fundraiser offering high-quality, gently used donated merchandise at bargain prices. The fundraiser also includes a Children’s Trunk Show sale, a ticketed opening night event, and a silent auction to help raise more funds. Your donations help us to raise over $25,000 in our silent auction. 

Since 1993, the Junior League of Washington’s Tossed & Found rummage sale fundraiser has welcomed more than 85,000 shoppers, providing bargain prices on high-quality, gently used merchandise to DC-area individuals, families, and community groups. Proceeds from the sale are used to advance the League’s mission of improving our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Over Tossed & Found’s 30-year history, the sale has raised more than $2.65 million, supported hundreds of community members through our Community Partner programs, and found new homes for thousands of items.

Additionally, Tossed & Found supports local families and community groups by donating more than $10,000 worth of goods every year. Our neighbors in need can select curtains that transform a house into a home, find the right size dress for a job interview, or pick the cutest onesie for a new baby.
