Jefferson DeFrees Family Center is hosting our 5th Annual Touch A Truck! fundraiser. Touch A Truck! will provide an excellent opportunity for sponsors to showcase their brand and interact with parents, children, JDFC board members and staff, and the Warren County community at large.  For this to be a memorable day and successful event we need trucks, ATV’s, cars, boats, emergency vehicles, construction vehicles, and rigs of every shape and size.  Seeing wonder and delight on a child’s face when they see something incredible will make your day and make you proud of the work you do.  Food vendors, family activities, and live entertainment will also be part of a fun and adventure filled day.

This fundraiser will not only benefit the programs and activities of our childcare program, but also the services and programs offered to our community. Some of these services include low-cost meeting spaces for community and self-help groups and organizations, fitness center and fitness classes.  We have recently become Silver Sneakers certified. We are the local affiliate for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Warren County, providing free books to registered Warren County children ages birth to 5 years. 2024 saw us reach the milestone of 50,000 books for our county.

Touch A Truck! has become a great family day, appealing to children of all ages.  There are many hands on opportunites, special character visits, basket raffle, children's dj, inflatable obstacle courses and more. We also offer a quiet hour in the middle of the day to allow an opportunity for everyone to be able to attend. Last year's event saw over 1800 people in attendance. We had everything from little cars, to garbage trucks, to boats, to monster trucks, a hot air  balloon, and most everything in between. 

The event is open to everyone beginning at 10:00 am.  From 9:00am - 10:00am is our VIP Hour.  Tickets for VIP hour are $10 each, children under 2 are free. VIP hour is for those that want to experience it first or for those that don't want to be there during the high attendance. VIP hour attendees are guaranteed a plastic "hard hat," a goodie bag, and more. Beginning at 10:00am there is no fee to attend.
