At Buena Vista High School, we are a continuation setting. We serve a diverse, low-socioeconomic student body of approximately 100 students. We do not have consistent opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. Our campus focus is primarily on academics. However, as a site that has worked diligently to improve students' behaviors through the Positive Behavior Intervention System, we would like to offer our students after-school opportunities that will also meet their social needs. 

With this in mind, we are raising money for our students for multiple school community-building events. Donations received will go into a general fund to use for our school dance on December 9th, a January field trip to the California Science Center, another field trip in May to the Los Angeles Museum of Art, a food truck day in March, and the senior trip at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. 

We are contacting businesses for gift cards or products to raffle off to the community on October 26th, 2022. Specifically, we are asking for two to four $25 gift cards or a gift basket of your choice to create several prize packages for the drawing that will occur at 6 PM on the aforementioned date.
