Each year, Beverly Sills Chapter of the Guilds of the Center hosts a fundraiser benefiting the Disney Musicals in Schools educational program provided by Segerstrom Center for the Arts. On February 8, 2025, that event will be held at the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club in Corona Del Mar

Our event is a silent auction and luncheon. Monies raised will support the funding of Disney Musicals in Schools professional instructors from The Segerstrom Center for the arts teach participants how to put on a musical show like The Lion King or Alladin. These children are from Title 1 schools in the Orange County community. More than 7,00 children were given the opportinity to experience the process of performing on stage. At no cost to them, each school receives performance rights, educational support materials, and 17 weeks of guidnce from Segerstrom Center teaching artists. Students work collaboratively to develop self confidence and strengthen communication skills, all while learning and enjoying the process of musical theater.
