The Troopers Bridge Foundation will be conducting a Tricky Tray on September 28th, 2024 at the Sussex Fire Department.  All monies raised from this event will support the Troopers Bridge Foundation. We are hoping to make this a HUGE success.

The Troopers Bridge Foundation, originally known as the “Meeting at the Bridge”, was inspired by New Jersey and Pennsylvania Troopers, who came together after the October 24, 1997, tragic line of duty shooting death of NJSP Trooper Scott Gonzalez #5059.  Trooper Gonzalez while assigned to Troop “B” Hope Station, pursued an unknown armed suspect into a remote area of Independence Twp.  During a firefight with the suspect Trooper Gonzalez was mortally wounded.  In response to this heartbreaking event, NJSP Hope Station Troopers and neighboring PSP Troopers from Swiftwater Station, meet at the Delaware Bridge, and hold an event known as “The Bridge Dinner”, to which each year they honor a fallen hero.
