The Truck Convoy for Special Olympics South Dakota is a celebration of the Trucking Industry in support of Special Olympics. It is a unique event where Law Enforcement makes special dispensation and escort a convoy of trucks through Sioux Falls. The event raises much-needed funds and awareness for Special Olympics.

Participants meet at W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds and are then escorted in a convoy on a pre-determined route, then back to the Fairgrounds where they are welcomed by the local Special Olympics community - athletes, families, colleagues, Law Enforcement and the organizations, companies, and agencies that make up the trucking industry. 

A celebration will follow which includes lunch, awards, and auction.

Since 2004, the Truck Convoy in Sioux Falls has raised over $690,000 for individuals living with an intellectual disability in South Dakota. Your funds have made a direct impact on over 2,750 Special Olympic South Dakota Athletes! With must needed funds and awareness that the Truck Convoy provides, our beloved athletes would not have the opportunity to compete and enjoy all of the benefits that sports provide to enhance their lives.
