On October 27th we will be holding our 2nd annual Trunk or Treat event. From 6pm-7:30pm we will have 20 parent/guardian volunteers who have decorated their vehicles and pass out donated candy to the students.  We will also have 2 licensed vendors at the event to provide food and fun to the event. Kern County Sherrif and Raising Cane’s will also have booths and handing out items to our students. Last year we had over 300 people attend this free event. We will also be holding a raffle of donated items 30 minutes before the end of the event to help raise money for our Accelerated Reading Party in May. In May we provide the funds for our schools Accelerated Reading Party, which includes t-shirts, food, books, prizes, bouncy-house, and fun games to be played for half of the school day for the students. This incentive helps our students reach the reading goals for the year and pushes them to become better readers.
