Under the Big Top
Other Event Type for First Apostolic Church/ Summit Christian AcademyOct 18, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out on behalf of Apostolic Christian Academy, a non-profit school located in Sylvania, OH. Our school is committed to meeting the unique academic needs of our students through small class sizes and individualized support. We also prioritize learning experiences that go beyond traditional textbooks, such as nature conservation, financial literacy, career preparation, agriculture, and outdoor exploration.
As a school, we rely heavily on fundraising efforts to make these invaluable learning opportunities possible. I have attached our donation request letter for your review. In previous years, funds raised through events like our silent auction have directly benefited our students. Past highlights include:
A Thanksgiving meal where K-12 students collaborated to prepare and serve a free meal to elderly community members. Field trips to cultural and educational exhibits. Guest speakers and hands-on learning experiences in cooking, agriculture, and nature conservation, such as raising livestock, hatching eggs, and cultivating plants in our indoor greenhouse, we also provide trade experience for our students beginning in Kindergarten, this is done through hands-on building demonstrations and so much more.
This year, we request your support through a donation for our silent auction at the “Under the Big Top” dinner event, held on October 18, 2025, in our school gym. With 250 attendees expected, this event promises to be a wonderful opportunity for community engagement. We would also be grateful for any sponsorships that could help cover the costs of the dinner.
In exchange for your generosity, we will prominently display your donation at the event, on our website, and across our social media channels. We will also provide a tax-deductible receipt and our 501(c)(3) documentation for your records.
Thank you so much for considering our request. Your support would mean the world to our students and our community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
