The annual Union Mill Elementary School PTA (UMES PTA) online auction supports the mission of the UMES PTA, a non-profit organization created for the purpose of supporting and enriching the education of children at Union Mill.

The online auction will open on Friday, February 3 at 5pm and remain open until Saturday, February 11 at 10pm. Parents, neighbors, family members and friends can bid at their lesiure from the comfort of their home or phone. 

Auction donors receive recognition for their support on the online auction site, including a link to your website and logo or photo. In the past, our auction site has received over 11,400 views from our more than 500 families that live and play here in Centreville and Clifton! Grandparents, extended family and friends also participate giving your business exposure far and wide.

The main objective of the PTA is to provide funds necessary for programs like Great Art, Learning Garden, Operation Feed the Need, Emergency Lunch Fund, activities like Battle of the Books, Running with the Stars, Fitness for a Cause, and supplies for teachers needed throughout the year. The PTA also subsidizes field trips and hosts various family events such as Bingo Night, Read-a-thon, Glowfest, Color Run, STEAM Fair and an Ice Cream Social.

The UMES PTA creates the village that helps to raise our kids and strengthen our community; links families to important school and community information; hosts fun, educational clubs, programs, and events for our families; raises money to support the specific needs of our school; offers kids the opportunity to explore the arts and develop critical thinking, teamwork and creativity; inspires a love of reading and enhance students’ book and literary options; encourages healthy lifestyles and food choices for every family; tracks local, state and national policies every day so we can advocate for what’s best for our students, families and schools; and believes we can make every child’s potential a reality.
