United Way of Northwest Illinois is gearing up for our 12th annual Celebrity Dinner.  This event has helped the community put the “fun” back in fundraising with its unique style and games.  It is also a great opportunity for businesses to demonstrate their commitment to improving our community. Our ask to you is an in-kind gift of your choosing, either as a standalone basket item, or one that we can add to a basket.  

This year’s Celebrity Dinner will be held at the Freeport Club on April 27, 2024.  “Celebrity Waiters” will serve each table and help raise dollars by engaging their guests with games, trivia, table themes, and challenges.  In addition to the above excitement, we will have a silent auction, with one of a kind packages, which will raise money for United Way and our local agencies.

The businesses who donate items to the auction are a key component to the success of this event and are acknowledged in the event program, on our website, and through social media.  

We ask that you consider donating items for our silent auction baskets. All funds raised through the event will support work being done to advance early childhood education and the critical health and human service needs in our local community.  For example:

Providing academic enrichment programs to over 700 children at the Boys and Girls Club
Providing free books through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to over 2400 children
Providing safe housing and food to those at risk of abuse
 

We appreciate your consideration and want to express how truly grateful we are for your support of the United Way and our mission.  We ask that we can make arrangements to have all items at our office no later than April 1, 2024 so that we have plenty of time to develop marketing and display materials.
