About Our Organization
CAN Behavioral Health (CAN) is a Texas 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Baytown, Texas. Since 2007, CAN’s focus has been to make a difference in the lives of adolescents and adults in East Harris county and surrounding communities, who suffer from behavioral health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders and the dysfunction caused by such.
Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, integrated, and holistic approach in the care of those with behavioral health, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders in East Harris County and neighboring counties.
Event Information
CAN Behavioral Health will host its First Annual Fundraising Gala: "Unmasking the Stigma of Mental Health Care" on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Net proceeds benefit our groundbreaking Positive Psychology & Universal Ethics program which focuses on building better mental health in young adults and at risk youth within our community.
Our primary objective is to raise $200,000, which will enable us to provide up to 50 scholarships for low-income youth in need of our services over the next 12 months. Additionally, these funds will contribute to resources for master-level clinicians and cover general office-related expenses essential for the program's operations, such as textbooks, administration, and management.
The state of Texas faces challenges in ensuring access to suitable mental health care. Our mission at CAN Behavioral Health is to address this issue within our community. We aspire to ensure that everyone in need of care receives it.
Event Format
This semi-formal masquerade ball will include a cocktail reception, dinner, entertainment by magician Robby Bennett, silent auction, music & dancing.
