UPLIFT (Urban People Living In Faith & Trust) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves to improve community equity with free services to San Diego’s most vulnerable, helping house our homeless neighbors and academically advance low income students, lifting all to their fullest potential.

This year's Step Up Team Challenge Campaign Celebration will be held on Tuesday, September 14th, 2021 in support of UPLIFT’s programs. This year’s campaign celebration will be held at Bali Hai Restaurant on Shelter Island Dr. in Point Loma, San Diego. Proceeds from this year’s event will go towards advancing our free homeless and student services, as well as support our partner nonprofits through peer-to-peer collaborative philanthropy fundraising.

UPLIFT was founded in 1987 to accelerate community transformation and lift vulnerable populations to their full potential through free services to low-income students and people experiencing homelessness. UPLIFT currently offers free one-to-one tutoring to advance academic achievement and accelerate literacy skills of at-risk youth. UPLIFTS’s young adult mentoring offers leadership training and life skills through multi-week speaker sessions and group activities to help navigate teen life. UPLIFT’s homeless services aim to fill gaps and remove obstacles in the flow to housing for people experiencing homelessness through Volunteer Advocates assisting professional case managers with added support with application assistance and transportation to the DMV for CA ID’s, the essential document for all homeless services access.

2021 marks our 34th anniversary of providing free services to San Diego’s most vulnerable. We would be honored to have you join our efforts.
