After a long time apart, last year our VCES families finally got the chance to come together and celebrate our little school together at a family fun day designed to not only raise money for the school, but give people a chance to laugh, play and spend time together!  It was such a success that we decided we were going to do it again this year!  Play booths where kids can paint, make stuffed animals, plant their own plants, decorate cookies, play on bouncies, participate in a little soccer clinic and end the night with a movie under the stars. We are once again proving we are all "better together."

Knowing that a lot of our families have suffered financially since the pandemic started, we have made the entrance cost minimal to accomodate our entire community.  In doing so, we are losing a substantial amount of dollars that would normally be there. It is now our job to secure donations from companies to fundraise in different ways. The overall raffle/auction will allow us to bridge that financial gap. We are not a large private school with wealthy or well-connected parents whose event brings in $100,000.00. We are an economically diverse small school that could really use some help with our fundraising. We would really love your support!

Valley Charter Elementary School is a free, public charter school serving the San Fernando Valley since September 2010. Our school grew out of a commitment to community, diversity, responsibility and the academic success of each and every child.

We achieve this mission by keeping our classrooms small, supporting the development of our teachers, and valuing each student’s approach to learning. Though we are unique, like every public school, we rely on a high level of commitment from parents, friends and organizations such as yours to keep our program alive.
