We are a growing league that is now up to nearly 200 young female athletes. One of our goals is to build a more cohesive Colonsoftball program with our school program, and the Colonie Central High School Varsity softball team has been at the forefront of making that goal a reality. The young ladies who comprise the Varsity team have been role models to our young athletes, and their influence has been tremendous. They held clinics over the winter, started a big sister/little sister program, ran various stations at our opening day, and led our opening day parade. They have helped not only to bridge the gap in the softball program but also to build a strong sense of community.

On Wednesday, May 14th, the South Colonie Girls Softball League has a chance to return the favor when our Colonie Central High School will play a game under the lights at our park. It will be a night celebrating not only the Colonie softball family but also the great town of Colonie.

In an effort to “give back” to the Colonie High School Softball program, we are making efforts to hold a raffle on Varsity Night where one lucky winner will go home with a “Colonis Family” basket. In order to achieve this goal, we need our local Colonie businesses to help. Please consider making a gift card donation for the basket- all of the proceeds will be donated to the Colonie Softball Booster Club to support our Varsity team. We will be sure to recognize your business at the raffle table and on our social media pages.
