Each year at the Virginia Association of Soil & Water Conservation Districts Annual meeting the VASWCD Educational Foundation holds a silent auction as a fundraiser.  Funds raised through this silent auction are used for environmental educational programs such as the Youth Conservation Camp and the Virginia Envirothon Program.  These two programs are opportunities for Virginia’s youth to engage them in learning more about natural resources, how to solve conservation issues, and how to introduce them to different natural resource career paths. Fundraising for the VASWCD Educational Foundation is a key reason these educational programs are possible. The Fundraiser at the Annual Meeting in December has raised in years past a significant amount of funds for the Foundation to ensure the continued success of environmental education outreach programs. Funds from the Annual Meeting fundraisers pass from the Foundation directly to students and citizens across the Commonwealth in the name of conservation education.

This year’s meeting is December 3rd-5th, 2023 at the Norfolk Mariott in Norfolk, VA. This conference brings together 350+ environmental professionals from across the state for leadership training and networking. Assistance from our supporters keeps us moving forward in the name of conservation.
