Virginia Equine Welfare Society (VEWS) is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit horse rescue. We are committed to rescuing and rehabilitating at-risk equines. We provide safe housing, medical and rehabilitation services to abused, neglected, abandoned and slaughter-bound horses and at the appropriate time place them into loving, forever adoptable homes.

One of our most exciting and anticipated annual events is our Brisket, Barbeque & Brew Fest taking place on October 16, 2021. This fun-filled family event is open to the community and raises vital funds for food, shelter, routine wellness checks and unexpected veterinary costs for the horses in our care. This event has historically provided approx. 2/3 of our annual operating budget - thanks to the generosity from partners like you. We would love to count on your support for this important charitable event!

Ways You Can Help Horses In Need

• Donate items for Silent Auction – such as gift cards, baskets, goods or services. Donation items can be mailed to us or we can arrange local pickup.  Deadline for donations is October 2, 2021.
•  Become an event sponsor. Sponsorship levels and benefits:
  • CANTER/PLATINUM ($500) – Dominant presence of name/logo on VEWS website, social media & promotional material; Company’s business cards/literature displayed on tables; Two (2) complimentary event admission tickets
  • TROT/GOLD ($300) – Name/Logo on VEWS website, social media & promotional material; One (1) complimentary event admission ticket
  • WALK/SILVER ($100) – Name/Logo on VEWS website, social media & promotional material Payment can be made via credit card, Venmo, PayPal or check. Visit virginiaequinewelfare.org for payment option information and denote “2021 BBB Sponsor”. Deadline to become a sponsor is September 18, 2021.
