Description

Our 7th Annual Spring Carnival will be our largest fundraiser of the year. We expect this outdoor community event to attract at least 150 attendees - primarily children ages 2-7 and their parents and grandparents. Tickets are $12 for children 2+, free for adults. Tickets include unlimited activities and games for children, including bounce houses, the RVA Express Train, the Fun Bus, a petting zoo, face painting, a scavenger hunt on our nature trail, and crafts. There will also be a DJ, food trucks, and a silent auction. We are particularly in need of items we can include in our silent auction, as this part of the carnival raises the most funds. New this year, we are planning to use a mobile bidding app for our silent auction to enable supporters of our school to bid on items even if they cannot be attend the carnival. We'll feature all silent auction items on our school's Instagram page during the two weeks leading up to the event, and will highlight any donors in doing so. We will also feature donors in a newsletter that will be distributed to all school families on May, and encourage families to support the organizations who support our school.

As a tuition-driven, not-for-profit school, we rely on fundraising to enhance our curriculum and campus to provide a scholarship program for local families who could not otherwise afford our early childhood education program. This year, we hope to raise enough money to purchase a projector, a moveable whiteboard, and materials for our nature trail that support large motor play. Wheelbarrows, rakes, and shovels are just some of the outdoor items that would provide endless hours of physical activity as well as imaginative and cooperative play for our students. By promoting nature play activities, we help our students develop an early love of the outdoors. We hope our donors will consider their gifts an investment in our children, our school, and our community.
