Description

Please join us by supporting our 11th annual fundraiser !Viva Bingo! on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the San Antonio Country Club. Viva Bingo is a fiesta-themed, family event with food, drinks, bingo, casino games, silent auction, mystery bags, and signature raffle packages unlike any other event. We are expecting over 500 attendees this year!

The Louise H. Batz Patient Safety Foundation was founded in May of 2009, ten days after Louise H. Batz lost her life to a preventable medical error. Since that day, we have gone on a life-changing journey from tragedy to hope! Our mission is to help families and patients truly become a part of their healthcare team and to reduce preventable medical errors. Over the past 14 years, the Louise H. Batz Patient Safety Foundation has raised over $3 million for patient safety, published ten unique “Batz Guides for Bedside Advocacy”, developed our Batz Patient Guide Apps, established the Batz Foundation Europe, and shared Louise’s story across the United States, Canada, Europe, South America, and India. This fall, our team will travel to South Korea to present at the global ISQUA conference on patient safety.

With your help the funds raised from Viva Bingo will support these goals that further our mission to create awareness of patient safety, both locally and internationally:
•       Develop an innovative website promoting a wide range of educational topics in patient safety using the ten Batz Guides we have developed over the past 14 years.
•       Implement and research the effectiveness of our Weezie’s Angel NICU Guide for Babies.
•       Teach at universities and hospitals around the country.
•       Participate at healthcare conferences promoting patient safety around the globe.
•       Expand our Community Health EMPOWER program aimed to help low-income families.
•       Continue to expand our international programs.

Your donation makes a difference in the lives of our families and patients. We greatly appreciate your support!
