Description

FURBALL 2017, "Viva PAWS Vegas" promises to be a fun-filled evening of entertainment, auction items, food and casino games for supporters of animal rescue in West Texas.

Plans currently consist of an Elvis show/photo ops, casino games with trained dealers, and a fantastic meal served at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, the premiere venue in San Angelo, Texas for unforgettable soireés.  The Museum is partnering with PAWS in this effort and has kindly donated 100% of the space at no charge.

Each year Concho Valley PAWS rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes over 1,000 cats and dogs from our city kill shelter here in San Angelo. These homeless and abandoned animals would have otherwise been destroyed for no other reason than a lack of municipal shelter space. In addition to rescuing shelter pets, we annually provide for free and low cost spay and neuter services to over 1,700 pets of low income homes. However, these are not the only services we offer to our community. We also provide educational and support services to families looking to adopt a pet, as well as resources to families facing desperate situations who wish to rehome their animals responsibly.

In order to continue to provide our services, Concho Valley PAWS must look to the people and businesses of the Concho Valley, Texas and our great nation to support the organization’s mission. As Gandhi so eloquently said, “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” We invite you to be a part of our effort to make a difference in our community. Not only will you save the lives of pets in need, you will also make an impact on the lives of the families that will adopt them.
