Volunteer Appreciation Week
Other Event Type for Community Emergency Assistance ProgramsApr 15, 2024 to Apr 19, 2024
National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to recognize the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society’s greatest challenges, to build stronger communities and be a force that transforms the world. It takes place every April, and each year we shine a light recognizing and thanking the volunteers who lend their time, talent and voice to make a difference in our community.
Community Emergency Assistance Programs (CEAP) is a community-based, nonprofit agency dedicated to providing information, referrals, advocacy and assistance to our neighbors. While we are located in Brooklyn Center, we have no geographic boundaries to our services and any neighbor who needs our services may use them.
CEAP relies on a core base of volunteers who give their time on a weekly or monthly basis through our daily programs and services. Volunteers pack groceries in our Food Market, prepare and deliver meals through Meals on Wheels, stock clothes and assist customers in the Turning Leaf Thrift Store, and more. Our volunteers are an essential part of the CEAP Community!
