My name is Carla Smith. I’m reaching out in support of the PTO at Good Shepherd Lutheran School. Good Shepherd Lutheran School is a long-standing member of the Burnsville community - providing Preschool and K-8 education for 36 years. We are committed to providing a high quality, value-based education in a small classroom setting.

We are hosting a walk-a-thon Friday, September 27th and virtual auction September 25th-September 29th. The Walk promotes and supports the important work of our school, as well as health and wellness for our school families. During this event, promoted to over 1200 people within the Good Shepherd community, we will raffle off prizes and have virtual auction items of gift cards, merchandise, and services from local businesses. This year proceeds from our event will be used towards our scholarship program, classroom needs and whole school enrichment events.

I would like to ask if you’d be willing to provide any donation to use for a raffle or silent auction item. Typically, local businesses will donate merchandise, gift cards, passes or services.  Should you make a donation, your business will be recognized at our event on the advertising for our event. Also, because our school is a 501(c)(3) charity (ID No. 41-6175156), your contributions are tax deductible. We are able to provide a donation receipt letter for your tax records at your request.
