Holy Name of Mary School (in St. Marys) is hosting our sixth Annual Warrior Will Fun Fair on Thursday June 6th, 2024 from 5pm - 8pm. 

Will Simons was our school warrior, born with a congenital heart defect and endured a number of major surgeries in his short 5 years of life. He was a real force for love, strength & goodness, a resilient fighter, a warrior right until the very end. We will continue to honour his memory at our annual Fun Fair. 

Previously, with the generous support of our community, last year our Warrior Will Fun Fair raised almost $25 000.  A portion of the money raised is donated to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto and to Ronald McDonald House in Will’s name.  As well, money helped to build a sun shelter in our outdoor learning area for all students to enjoy, has provided students with curling lessons, guest speakers, money towards class trips, bussing paid for multiple excursions, sports equipment, art lessons and much more!

It is our hope with the money raised through the Fun Fair this year to be able to provide students with further experiential learning opportunities.  This type of learning would expose students to new sports, coding and technological experiences, music, artistic opportunities, and more! Additionally, donations will continue to be made in Will’s name to Sick Kids and Ronald McDonald House. 

To realize this goal, we need your help to make the event a success. We are kindly requesting donations that can be used for our online silent auction. Donations of gift certificates, products, or services are greatly appreciated.  Our online silent auction will be running from Monday May 27th, 2024 until Wednesday June 5th, 2024.  If you prefer to make a monetary donation towards our school, we would be grateful as well.  Tax receipts will be given for those who donate through the Huron Perth Catholic District School Board and direct the money to Holy Name of Mary School.  Please contact us if this is the route you wish to donate and we would be happy to help.  Your generosity is very much appreciated.
